The Gardner Family

This is a very special project for me! Montye is a very big part of our community at St. Margaret Mary Church, and a dear friend to many. She gives of herself so selflessly to help other women find friendship and find themselves through the MOMS program.
She has battled synovial sarcoma, a cancer that was in her back, and many have rallied around her. She is a beautiful, magnificent, shining star to all of us!
She has recently started a blog about her fight with cancer and the changes in her daily lifestyle. Find it here: All This and More

May God continue to bless you and you beautiful family, Montye!

The Hope Family

I was happy to be asked to shoot some of Nathan's family while we were in Iowa over Christmas and New Year's. We shot at their house in their kitchen. We had to move the kitchen table back a ways so I could have a bit of room to take advantage of the window light streaming in. There was about 3 feet of snow on their deck providing wonderful key light!! :)

The Huffine Family

I have posted photos of Cindy before. I grew up with Cindy and Carey, and now we are all married and have kids! It's so much fun to see them with children since we have all known each other since we were nearly that small.
It was such a blessing to meet Carey's baby Jackson! He is so cute! He wasn't cooperating much however, but maybe next time we'll get him to feel a little more awake! :)

Ever seen a close-up of a cat's tongue? WOW!

I took this shot of my cat, Saki, back when I was living in Santa Barbara. I had rented a new 10D from Brooks, and was testing it out on my cat. Check this out!!!
